The Carlson School is welcoming two new members to its Board of Overseers: Thia Breen and Beth Kieffer Leonard.
Thia Breen, ’72 BSB
Breen is the group president of North America, overseeing U.S. and Canadian affiliates for the Estée Lauder Companies. She is responsible for driving sales and profits for all of the company’s brands in North America across all distribution channels.
Since joining the company in 1977, she has worked on leading beauty brands, including Aramis, Clinique, and Origins.
Breen delivered the commencement address to the Carlson School Class of 2012.
Beth Kieffer Leonard, ’82 BSB
Leonard is a CPA and the managing partner of Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, LLP, where she leads the firm’s sponsorship and support of business opportunities for a wide range of clients.
She is active in many civic organizations and has received commendations from many national and regional associations, including Women in Business Champion for the Small Business Administration-Minnesota and an Advocacy Award from the Women’s Business Development Center in Chicago.
The Carlson School Board of Overseers works closely with the school’s leadership to ensure a highly engaged relationship with local and national businesses.
