BY CRAIG SEITEL
This spring marks my final chapter as Chair of the Alumni Board for the Carlson School. I have been enormously proud to lead such a talented and dedicated group of alumni leaders on the board for the past two years. Their commitment to this institution and to our 50,000 alumni has made my job incredibly rewarding.
Those of us on the alumni board have very diverse backgrounds, with different student experiences and degrees from the Carlson School, and different professions and residences in different parts of the country. One common theme among us all: our commitment to strengthening alumni engagement with the Carlson School—across all programs and ages.
I am gratified to have led the development of the Carlson School’s regional chapter development in New York City five years ago. The members of the NYC Carlson School chapter have a deep love for the school and for engaging alumni in its future. I recently had the opportunity to work with alumni in other cities to expand our chapter development. We are expanding our efforts in San Francisco, Phoenix, Denver, and Boston. We have terrific alumni leaders stepping up to these efforts. Way to go!
These cities, in addition to the Twin Cities, are just the beginning. Our goal is to connect alumni in whatever part of the country or world they reside. Our diversity of geographic locations, backgrounds, industries, and experiences is what makes this work exciting. The possibilities when we are connected are endless. Thank you for what YOU do for the Carlson School!
